Fulvic and Humic Compounds in Soil Health
Fulvic and humic substances originate together within natural humic deposits formed as plant matter slowly breaks down and transforms in soil over long periods of time. Both substances have been widely studied for their role in soil regeneration, nutrient cycling, and supporting microbial ecosystems.
During the purification process used to produce fulvic acid for human use, these natural compounds are carefully separated.
Fulvic acid consists of smaller molecular structures that remain soluble across a wide pH range and can interact with minerals in ways that support nutrient transport and bioavailability within the body.
Humic acid, by contrast, contains larger molecular structures that are not readily absorbed by the human body. Instead, humic compounds perform their most important functions within the soil itself. It plays a central role in improving soil structure, water retention, and mineral availability in regenerative agriculture systems.
In healthy soil systems, humic substances help improve soil structure, support microbial life, and assist in retaining and cycling nutrients that plants depend on.
